A good start to the week...
I managed to get up at an OK time this morning, which was good. I think that my sleepy Friday really helped me get stuff back into a routine. The Hair isn't sticking to it, which can be quite tricky, but I'm doing well. I bought three cartons of cranberry juice from Sainsbury's on Saturday and now I only have one left. I really should control my cranberry intake.
My lectures today were alright. I had an interesting English Literature lecture this afternoon, but the guy giving it had an extraordinarily dull voice, so he nearly made the whole lecture theatre fall asleep. The English Language guy didn't sing or hit anyone over the head today, so his lecture seemed extraordinarily ordinary for a change.
My English Language seminar was quite fun actually, as sad as that might seem. We had to label words, and then we had to parse the sentences that the words belonged to (i.e. label the noun, verb, adjective and prepositional phrases). I know that might sound pathetic, but I caught onto it pretty quickly and so it made the session enjoyable.
Dinner was fun. I cooked a lovely korma for myself and The Hair. Princess nearly started WW3 by making a humourous remark involving watching food and showering whilst BB was still in the room, after which she made a quick exit leaving me in disbelief and Butterfly in fits of giggles. She later told me that she was actually considering having a shower but realised that her food would be ready in two minutes so cowered in her room and hoped that the comment had washed over. Of course it hadn't really - Butterfly was still giggling - but BB didn't catch on.
Tonight was quite good. Myself and The Hair watched "Saw". To be honest I was disgusted, but not impressed. I thought the acting was a bit wooden and the script a little too predictable, even though they did go all-out on the ending. Basically, I wouldn't recommend it. Then I washed his hair for him, and that brings me to the present moment. I'm about to dry his hair so that we can go to bed. A relaxing ending to a good day. A little like stroking a cat actually.
