Purple pancakes and poorliness...
Today had all the makings of a great day. I got up at a reasonable hour and had pancakes with Princess for breakfast, which was all very well and good. My seminar and lecture seemed to go OK, even though the Creative Writing lecturer went on as if he and Sylvia Plath were involved.
The Hair came round after his lectures and made me a lovely dinner of burgers in buns and chips, which was very gentlemanly of him. It was after that that the problems started - not that I'm blaming my condition on my evening meal. We went to the cinema to see "Hero" at about 6pm. I'd said about ten minutes earlier that I was in too much pain to go, but I figured that I'd be in an equal amount of pain where ever I was, so I may aswell stick to my plans to see a good film. I had to get up and leave in the middle, so I was confused when I came back to discover that the whole plot had changed.
It was still bad when I got back, so Butterfly went to the nurse's unit with me. The nurse was really good - she did more for me than my local GP i.e. she actually did a test to see what it was that I have. She told me to mention to the doctor that I have a history of diabetes in my family, as some of my symptoms could lead to that too. So everything's fun here.
P.S. - I've managed to keep this going for a month - more than I used to manage with my diaries.
